As a FIPS 140 - 2/3 Security Engineer II, you will play a pivotal role and should have a full understanding of OSI model, TCP/IP, Ethernet, and other networking concepts along with experience working secure communication protocols such as SSH, IPsec, TLS, MACsec, etc., with cryptographic algorithm suites being the most important.

Responsibilities for FIPS 140 - 2/3 Security Engineer II:
* Conduct and oversee Common Criteria evaluations, adhering to US NIAP-approved protection profiles and custom ST/EAL evaluations.
* Participate in FIPS 140 crypto validations, ensuring adherence to stringent security standards.
* Configure and test network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.
* Develop comprehensive evaluation documentation to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.

Requirements for FIPS 140 - 2/3 Security Engineer II:
* Direct experience with FIPS and/or Common Criteria standards, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry best practices.
* Proficient in utilizing tools like Wireshark and tcpdump to record and analyze packet captures of network traffic.
* Familiarity with programming languages such as Perl, Python, BASH, etc., as well as development environments.
* Exceptional problem-solving, troubleshooting, and multitasking abilities.
* Strong knowledge of secure communication protocols, including SSH, IPsec, TLS, etc., with expertise in cryptographic algorithm suites.
