Customer Details
- Our customer is the IT Branch of one of the World's largest Insurance Groups, they have close to 200,000 staff globally and have a massive presence in EMEA, APAC and the America's. You will be working as part of a European team, with colleagues based in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, UK, Spain, Portugal and some in Africa.
- They have just this week had the sign off for a new project for 2024 and want an Architect to come in to support their internal team and their sub-contractors with the deployment of a Commvault solution.
- The customer has a great reputation, they offer the chance of a long-term engagement, really flexible remote working and have a fantastic working environment.
- Glocomms have worked with this customer for close to 4 years and at this moment have close to 30 sub-contractors working in their Cloud, Systems and Security teams.
Job Details
Systems Architect (BackUp, Server and Commvault)
- Primary responsibilities will include acting as initially an Architect, drawing the HLD and LLD for their Infrastructure, before supporting the engineering team with deployment, but whilst this is happening you will be acting as the Point of Contact between the technical team and the Senior Stakeholders within the business, providing them with regular updates, challenging both the management and the technical staff if needed and reports on project progression. Their Operations are handled by a third party, so there is never a need to take any tickets as this is done completely externally of the business.
- The customer needs an Architect that has worked in both an On-Prem (Linux, Windows Server, VMware) and Cloud based (AWS, Azure) environment as they have both and someone that has Designed a Commvault solution before and has the capability to deploy it.
- Tech Stack : Commvault, NetApp, Azure, AWS, NAS, SAN, Storage, Windows, Linux, VMware
- You will be working as part of the wider Storage and Server team which has close to 60 people, but on a day to day basis you will be working alongside a small sub-team that are dedicated to this assignment (5-8 people)
- Given the International context of the business, most things will be done in English but French is also required to work easily with the Parisian team.
- The team has had projects on-going for the last few years, so there is a massive opportunity for contract renewals at the end of this first assignment.
- No specific certificates are required for the mission, but any relevant Systems, Server, BackUp or Commvault certificates will certainly be an asset!
