My client, a leading microscopy company is seeking a Security Product Manager to implement the global cybersecurity policy for products in Applied Microscopy.
Location: Wetzlar, Germany (3 days in office per week)
Salary: €110k
Responsibilities:
- Advise management, product, project and R&D teams on cybersecurity standards and best practices.
- Review, refine and revise R&D processes to meet company requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and assist in the preparation of product security management plans.
- Plan and conduct workshops on threat modeling (e.g. STRIDE, attack trees) and risk assessment with product development teams
- Define security rule sets and support their implementation.
- Ensure development teams follow industry standards for system hardening and secure coding.
- Implement measures for supply chain security by creating and maintaining software bills of materials (SBOM)
- Establish and maintain an effective vulnerability screening process.
- Support patch management and the treatment of vulnerabilities.
- Stay up-to-date with information security developments and industry trends.
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
- Several years of professional experience in software development/architecture in manufacturing industries 4.0
- Strong background in cybersecurity and extensive knowledge of the latest software technologies
- Experience managing projects without disciplinary authority
- Good knowledge of conducting risk and impact assessments and defining solution strategies
- Basic understanding of privacy-enhancing technologies and regulations such as GDPR
- Experience working with international teams and customers
- Real team player with the ability to effectively interact and communicate with everyone involved at various technical levels
- Fluent in written and spoken English; German would be a plus
