A self-funded cyber security start-up specializing in network emulation is actively seeking an Offensive Security Engineer to join their growing team (ideally based in Boston, but open to remote)! Our client's product offers a unique alternative to offensive security, by building a network identical to that of their customer for observation and testing.
The right person for this position is a software developer at heart, with a passion for the threat landscape. Prior experience developing and automating attacks in a network environment is a must! Additional details on the position below:
Core Responsibilities:
- Design/develop tools that auto-generate new attack content, based on a high level description of adversary behavior
- Testing of attack tools (end-to-end) to ensure functionality and evade defensive tools
- Design/develop command, control and visualization APIs for use within cyber range platform
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in Python (3.x)
- 1+ years using Python for network client-server communication
- Knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems, in network programming capacity
- Proficient in: git, GitHub, Docker; CI/CD and modern team software development; testing tools and practices (including secure SDLC processes)
