An information and engineering services and solutions company is looking to continue to build out their security space and bring on an Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
This position requires in-office work and will conduct Cybersecurity Developmental and Operational Test & Evaluation for major DoD programs.
Responsibilities of the Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
- Ensure all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the Information System.
- Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly.
- Serve as a member of the Configuration Control Board.
- Ensure all system security-related documentation is current and accessible to authorized individuals.
Required Qualifications of the Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
- Technical Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or similar technical degree and over 4-7 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of security equipment and devices for planning and implementing protective methods and security procedures.
- Experience with auditing information systems and Impact Analysis for Security Related Changes.
- Must be able to obtain DOD 8570 IAT Level 3 certification (CASP, CISSP, etc.) and CNDSP Analyst - Certified (CEH, GCIH, etc) within 6 months of hire.
- Active SECRET clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
