* Our customer is one of the world's Biggest Human Resource and Payroll solution companies, they provide online services for 1000's of customers around the world.
* Due to an excess of workload, they are looking to reinforce their team to support them as much as possible, to solve all L2/3 tickets and to contribute towards some project work with their new monitoring system.
* Client offers a great opportunity for a long-term engagement, when you finish on this project, if they have the availability, they will propose you for another project.
* We have been partners with this client for over 5 years. We work with them all across Europe, and have consultant working within the team at present.
Position: Active Directory Level 3 Engineer
Job Summary:
* The Active Directory Level 3 Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organisation's Active Directory (AD) infrastructure. They will work closely with the IT team, system administrators, and other technology stakeholders to ensure a secure, efficient, and reliable AD environment that meets the business requirements.
* The engineer will play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving complex AD-related issues, providing expert-level support, and contributing to long-term AD infrastructure strategy.
Team Responsibilities:
* Design and Implementation: Plan, design, and deploy Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, forests, and trusts. Evaluate business requirements and propose AD solutions to meet organisational needs.
* AD Infrastructure Management: Maintain and monitor the AD environment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. Implement best practices and industry standards to safeguard AD against potential vulnerabilities.
* Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Act as a third-level escalation point for AD-related incidents, identifying and resolving complex issues promptly. Analyse root causes and implement preventive measures to minimise future occurrences.
* Active Directory Security: Implement security measures and access controls to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorised access. Continuously review and enhance AD security policies and practices.
* AD Replication and Disaster Recovery: Ensure AD replication is functioning correctly across multiple locations. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for AD services and data.
* Group Policy Management: Design and implement Group Policies to manage user and computer configurations across the network. Validate the impact of Group Policy changes on the overall environment.
* PowerShell Scripting: Utilise PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks, streamline processes, and improve efficiency in AD management.
* AD Integration with Other Technologies: Integrate Active Directory with various technologies, such as cloud services, identity management systems, and single sign-on solutions.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of AD infrastructure, configurations, and changes. Generate regular reports for management and team members on the health and performance of the AD environment.
* Project Management: Participate in AD-related projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
* Several years of experience working with Active Directory in a large enterprise environment.
* Expert-level knowledge of AD design, implementation, and administration.
* Strong understanding of networking, DNS, DHCP, and related protocols in an AD context.
* Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for AD automation and management.
* Familiarity with security best practices and experience implementing AD security measures.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator) are a plus.
